Teaching Children Effectively™

CEF® of Wisconsin offers TCE™ 1 & 2 as classes at extension sites of the Children’s Ministries Institute® located at CEF® World Headquarters in Warrenton, MO. We offer biblically-based, practical, hands-on training to reach and teach children more effectively. Parents, Sunday School teachers, caregivers, pastors, and all varieties of children’s workers are just a few of those who can benefit from CEF training. We periodically offer college-accredited courses (Teaching Children Effectively 1 and 2), as well as conferences and one-day workshops at our office and at local churches. All training is conducted by certified adjunct Instructor of Teachers under the Children's Ministry Institute.™ Times and locations vary for all extension-site classes.

Good News Club® Team Training (3 levels)

Helpers: For those helping in a Good News Club with welcoming children, listening to verses, treats, etc.

Teacher Assistants: For those who want to help with teaching verses, counseling children, etc.

Bible Teachers: For those who want to teach the Bible lesson and be the team leader.

Super Seminars

Churches can take advantage of this training by hosting this seminar in a variety of formats. You may choose from 1-26 sessions available in categories such as Child Study (Understanding Children, Age Group Characteristics, Specializing in the Pre-School Child, Evangelism, Teaching God’s Word), The Class Hour (classes on Memorizing God’s Word, Discipline, etc.) and Discipleship. (CEUs are available.)

Teacher Enrichment

Open to everyone, Teacher Enrichment is offered in each of our 7 chapters periodically throughout the school year. Teaching ideas are shared for the current years Good News Club material as well as holiday and/or seasonal lessons, songs, crafts, etc. This training is free to anyone and can benefit the Good News Club teachers and helpers, the Sunday School teachers, grandparents, and more.

Children's Ministry Institute® (CMI)

A 12-week diploma program that has the flexibility of modular programs available to complete at your convenience. Each class is one to two weeks in length. Numerous accredited colleges offer credit for this training and CMI is a recognized provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the Association of Christian Schools International. Also, CMI now offers online training! Each class can be signed up for individually or a certificate program is available as well. Currently, there are seminars, a free three-week demo course, and two full courses are available. Browse the current online offerings.
